"I have been verbally harassed for MONTHS- called awful names, received texts to kill myself, had rumors spread about me that weren’t true, been cussed at, and simply humiliated, but if I try to say something back, or rebut what they are saying, or even return an insult - it becomes more of an issue for my safety. "

"I have been grabbed, punched, kicked, shoved, been followed while walking home, and even chased."

"Not a day goes by that I am not ridiculed, harassed, or bullied when I am at school"

"I have been into a couple fights however I am not a violent person. I have only fought back with people or had physical alterations when I knew I was not safe and had to do something. It seemed that the school didn’t care that I am a victim, they only cared that I “was involved”. So, the result of me trying to stand up for myself resulted in being suspended on a couple occasions and given a detention for “being involved”. "

"The school couldn’t stop it because punishing the kids only gave them more reason to abuse me. I have been followed home from school while being yelled at by peers; been bullied online, and physically attacked."

"People continue to harass me even when I am not in school. I have been on my porch and some kids will drive by repeatedly, yelling expletives at me."

"My daughter was physcially assaulted 3 times and nothing made it stop. I had to change schools."

"The bullying started the second week of school. They humiliated my kid everyday and no one spoke up. No one intervened. Other kids had to see what was going on, but they just stood by and watched."

"We notified the school about what was going on, but that made things worse. We even called the police after my son was assaulted and the police wouldn't even take a report".

"I saw all the messages sent to my child by peers. They were horribly graphic, and some of the peers even made comments that my child should kell themselves. Why would kids do this to each other?"

"As a parent I feel so helpless. I sent my son into the fire 5 days a week and didn't even know it, becasue I never knew how bad he was being treated by other kids. I had no idea the stress he was under every single day."

"I was so angry when I found the text messages on my daughter's phone. They were calling her a slut, and one girl told her to kill herself."
